Dürr Korea Inc. will exhibit major energy efficient products at HARFKO 2017

Seoul, December 12th 2016 – Dürr Korea Inc. announced that it will participate in the 14th HARFKO 2017 (Heating, Air-Conditioning, Refrigeration and Fluid Exhibition Korea 2017) which will be held at the KINTEX Exhibition hall from March 7 through March 10, 2017. They introduce the CO2 refrigerant heat pump, CO2 refrigerant compressed air dryer and other major products.

Under the brand name thermeco2, Dürr thermea GmbH, a subsidiary of the Dürr Group, manufactures large scaled high temperature heat pumps, chillers with high temperature heat recovery systems, and compressed-air refrigeration dryers for industrial applications and building technology. All thermeco2 machines operate with the climate-neutral refrigerant CO₂. The high temperature heat pumps of the thermeco2 HHR series reach flow temperatures up to 110°C and heating capacities up to 2,200 kW in 50 Hz grids, with a possible 2,640 kW in the Korean 60 Hz grid. The first reference project of the heat pump in South Korea as well as various applicable cases will be introduced, through the exhibition. The machines are suitable for applications in heating and process heating supply, such as in automotive production. They recover up to 75% of the necessary energy from waste heat, thus they are very energy efficient and amortize quickly. A particularly economic application is represented by the possibility of simultaneous generation of air conditioning or process cooling and high temperature heat. An appropriate application is in painting technology where refrigeration is needed for the dehumidification processes. The heat may be used for heating the air or for drying processes, in the food industry, semiconductor industry, and in building technology. The thermeco2 machines expand Dürr´s product range through the utilization of heat and waste heat with another environmentally friendly technology.
The thermeco2 ADR series is comprised of particularly environmentally friendly refrigeration dryers for compressed-air systems with large air volumes and dryer capacities, graduated into four frame sizes between 11,000 and 27,500 m³/h. Smaller or larger air volumes are possible on request. The compressed-air refrigeration dryers may optionally be suited with high temperature heat recovery up to 90°C. The refrigeration dryers finance themselves via heat recovery savings. Compared to conventional compressed air refrigeration dryers which are using climate damaging synthetic refrigerants, compressed air refrigeration dryers from Dürr thermea GmbH feature the following advantages: a natural basis – CO2 has the global warming potential of 1, non-flammable, non-toxic, and very easy to handle for the operators.
